This is the debut album of the six-member funk band from New Orleans, released in 1983.
Featuring KEVIN MCLIN, who handles vocals, guitar/vocoder/synthesizer, and production, this is a rare and talented group. This first album, which paved the way for their second album in '84, which is still a "classic" and synonymous with the group, is also a masterpiece that allows you to fully feel its high potential. It is also listed as one of Tatsuro Yamashita's favorites, and many enthusiasts consider this work to be their masterpiece.
A1 "You've Got Me Danching", B4 "Time Will Tell", etc., are finished as breezy funk tunes with soft vocals woven into a comfortable groove of mellow to fusion sounds. Also, the medium to slow song B1 "I'll Always Love You", which was re-recorded and brushed up on the second album, is also excellent. Sensible composing and sound production. A must-see for funk/black contemporary fans, as well as mellow fusion/AOR fans.
