If a crash occurs, the ceramic part breaks off, or the probe tip breaks at the predetermined breaking point above the ceramic part. The carbide ball ensures precision while probing. The Tschorn 3D Testers and Accusize SAVEplus 3D Testers (4920-1263) - except for the DREHplus - come with a ceramic probe tip with a 3 mm ball diameter.
