The lens is a 5x optical zoom lens with the Leica DC VARIO-ELMARIT name. It covers a focal length equivalent to 25-125mm in 35mm format. Aperture F2.8 at the wide-angle end. It is also characterized by the fact that distortion at the wide-angle end is not very noticeable. The minimum shooting distance in macro mode is 3cm at the wide-angle end and 100cm at the telephoto end. If you use the zoom macro function that records only in the center of the sensor, you can also take close-up shots other than at the wide-angle end.
