The Gared Institutional Basketball Goal is part of Gared's Rear-Mount Goal line. Rear-mount basketball goals are designed to increase the lifespan of backboards. With a rearward-facing "L" design, the rim connects to the backboard from behind, eliminating the possibility of damaging the protective powder coating on the front of the backboard. When attached to a gooseneck or straight-arm post, the rear-mount configuration is the strongest available on the playground. Due to its unique design, rear-mount goals are only compatible with backboards mounted at the rear. It is one of the best-selling, most economical, and versatile fixed goals. It features a single 18-inch rim, a 5/8-inch hoop, a single 5/8 x 15-inch brace, and a no-tie net attachment for easy installation. For indoor and outdoor use. Fixed rim. 4 x 3 7/8-inch hole spacing.
