The E422 metric coarse machine tap comes in a range of sizes from M3 to M10 and has a specially designed interrupted thread to reduce the force required when tapping many materials incl. steels, aluminium & stainless steel. The tap is of a spiral point design so is ideal for threading through holes, and has a titanium nitride coating which improves tool life and aids performance when under high pressure and friction. Manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization, the E422 is made from premium powder metal High Speed cobalt, further ensuring superior performance and extended tool life.
