Surface preparation discs are made of non-woven material impregnated with abrasive grains for blending, cleaning, finishing, and removal of paint and rust. The disc is two inches in diameter with a male R-Type (Roll Lock) threaded backer. Blends and smoothes coated abrasive scratch patterns. Easily removes welding or cutting discoloration on stainless steel. These discs are made with silicon carbide grain and they are designed for light finishing applications on metal, wood, composites, removing tooling marks and satin finishing of aluminum. Compact backing minimizes work piece scratches, allows for full use of disc material and softer/buffing-like finishing.
