Unused, perfectly preserved 1964 “EXECUPLAN TOP GRAIN COWHIDE” black leather, shiny grained, Genuine Cowhide Wallet. 6 3/4” long, 4 1/8” wide, 3/8” thin. 6 credit card slots, 3 billfold or other stuff adjacent slots. Came with a bunch of “Dec. 68” sample paper “DINERS CLUB” cards, in the sample name of “GEORGE THOMAS WORTHINGTON.” (DINERS CLUB, the first Credit Card in the world, used the name “George Thomas Worthington” In their 1960’s advertising.) DINERS CLUB membership was for 4 years, so this card and wallet dates to 1964. This wallet was complementary for big DINERS CLUB members. It’s a rare wallet that probably only a few “executives” were offered, maybe 1000 in all the USA. Unused mint condition. Very shiny and unique looking. This is the ideal prop for “Mad Men,” the 1960’s take-off on the Madison Avenue advertising business. This wallet is so Midcentury Modern. Will come with one DINERS CLUB sample paper card.
